1 C butter, softened
1/2 C powdered sugar
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 C chopped pecans
2 C all purpose flour
1 T ice water
1/4 tsp. Salt
Powdered sugar
Beat butter at medium speed with an electric mixer until light & fluffy. Add flour, sugar, vanilla salt & water, beating well. Stir in pecans. Roll dough into one inch balls. Roll out to 3-inch logs. Shape into crescents, and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 12-14 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool completely. Dredge in powdered sugar. Makes 3 dozen —for the ride to the beach!
