Cover the pigs!

t’s time for pigs in a blanket, isn’t it?  I wanted to share a beloved family recipe with you! When my daughter was three, a mother brought pigs in a blanket to her Mother’s Day Out party. Ever since then, they’ve been a staple in our family. My daughter is now almost 40, and the preschool tradition lives on.

I usually make a batch and freeze them, then take out however many I need and bake them so they’re hot out of the oven. They’re great for breakfast, a treat, a snack anytime, or even as an appetizer with hot pepper jelly.

Ingredients:

2 cans of biscuits (any size works but we like Grands original)

1 pkg mini sausage links

That’s all you need!  Cut the biscuits into quarters.  Wrap each sausage link in a quarter, placing seam side down on a greased baking sheet.

Bake at 350 til biscuits are done.  Remove and serve with jelly, honey, or Tabasco Pepper Jelly for some adult spice!

Sometimes the oldies are just the besties!
